The year of R&B music for 2010 started off slow at first. The releases were far and few in between. As we got further into the year, more and more artist started releasing their albums. We saw the return of Tank, Sunshine Anderson, Donell Jones, Faith Evans, Toni Braxton, El Debarge, Sade and a few more artist that had been of the scene for a while. A lot of artist released good quality albums. As 2010 begin to come to a close, it was a made rush of artist releasing their albums in droves. With that happening, it caused me to have a delay in releasing the album of 2010. I wanted to make sure everyone had a fair review before I made my decision.
As always with good release it is very hard to choose sometimes, but here it goes. The nominees included Dwele “Wants,World,Women”, Marques Houston “Matress Music”, The Floacist “Floetic Soul”, Sunshine Anderson ‘The Sun Shines Again” , Kem “Intimacy” , Tank “Now or Never”, R.Kelly “Love Letter” and Toni Braxton “Pulse’. These were all pretty good R&B releases.
The artist that had the best album overall for the year of 2010 and will go into my classic hall of R&B is Eric Benet with “Lost In Time”.
